Q. Can I configure Contact Us Manager for use with CDOSYS?

A. Yes. The password can be masked in any login input form within DMXReady:

  1. Open the file "/applications/ContactUsManager/inc_contactusmanager_CDOSYS.asp"
  2. At line 37, change the SMTP server name from "mail.yourdomain.com" to your own SMTP server name. Usually you will only need to change yourdomain to the name of your actual domain. If this does not work, contact your webhost.
  3. Repeat Step 2 at line 59.
  4. Save and upload to your server.

For example:

Change:
clientConf.Fields.Item("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserver") = "mail.yourdomain.com"

To:
clientConf.Fields.Item("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserver") = "Your SMTP server name"

Note:
If your server requires SMTP authentication, then you will need to do the following steps as well:

  1. Open "/applications/ContactUsManager/inc_contactusmanager_CDOSYS.asp" go to line 39
  2. Locate the following line:
    adminConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverport") = 25
  3. Below that line, change:
    'adminConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername") = "myusername"
    to:
    adminConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername") = "myusername"

    AND

    'adminConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword") = "mypassword"
    to:
    adminConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword") = "mypassword"

    * myusername = email server username from your webhosting provider
    * mypassword = email server password from your webhosting provider
  4. At the same file, go to line 63
  5. Locate the following line:
    clientConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverport") = 25
  6. Below that line, change:
    'clientConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername") = "myusername"
    to:
    clientConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername") = "myusername"

    AND

    'clientConfConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword") = "mypassword"
    to:
    clientConfConf.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword") = "mypassword"

    * myusername = email server username from your webhosting provider
    * mypassword = email server password from your webhosting provider
  7. Save the file and upload it to the server
