Posted by DMXReady-MH on 20 October 2008 04:43 PM

If using an application with email functions and your server is 1and1 Hosting, you will need to add the following script to your CDOSYS page:

objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusing") = 2
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserver") = "contact 1and1 for smtp server"
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpconnectiontimeout") = 60
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/smtpserverport") = 25
objCDOSYSCon.Fields.Update

Note:
If you use email SMTP authentication, please add the following lines before objCDOSYSCon.Fields.Update

objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendusername") = "your-username"
objCDOSYSCon.Fields("http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/sendpassword") = "your-password"

your-username = Your e-mail user name. You can find this in you Control Panel under E-mail Overview.

your-password = The e-mail password.
