Question:

How do I change the default folder name "dmxreadyv2" used in v2 applications?

Answer:

DMXReady recommends creating a new template file called "index.asp" and and have it <% Server.Execute() %> to your master template page i.e.

<% Server.Execute("/dmxreadyv2/cms/cms.asp") %>

Using this method will allow your CMS home page to automatically load when browsing to your domain www.mydomain.com and also render short/clean and SEO friendly URL's.

However, if your project requires you to change the folder name at the architecture level, here is the procedure:

1) Make a copy of the folder "dmxreadyv2" and rename new folder "website" (or any name of your choice)
2) Open  the file "/website/CMS/app_engine/components/global_variables.asp" and change the folder_root variable.

Change from:
folder_root = "dmxreadyv2"

Change To:
folder_root = "website"

4) Open "/website/Connections/cms.asp" and change the database path to the new path

Change from:
MM_cms_STRING = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & Server.MapPath("/dmxreadyv2/databases/cms.mdb")

Change To:
MM_cms_STRING = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & Server.MapPath("/website/databases/cms.mdb")

5) Re-upload the modified files and test.

Notes:
- The path to images inside your existing HTML may need to be updated to reflect the folder name change.
- Additional changes to the code may be required to reflect the new folder name. This will be revealed during your testing.
