Important Security Note for DMXReady users

Last week, we received reports of “unauthorized access” of dmxready applications.  We have investigated the issue and found a potential vulnerability in our applications that was exposed in websites that did not secure the database and admin area using server side security.

Although we feel this is a low/moderate threat to most DMXReady users, we recommend that all users go to their Order History and download and install the latest available update for your product.

As well, we also have a 2 other recommendations YOU MUST follow to help protect your website and database from unauthorized access.

  1. Your admin area is password protected with a unique username and password
  2. Your database is stored in a "secure" folder and cannot be downloaded from your browser

If you have any questions about this or any other aspect of DMXReady, please feel free to contact us at any time!

Sincerely,

The DMXReady Team
